Meet the Team


  • emily
    Emily

    Emily, our Practice Manager started at GAH February 2021. She is originally from Kansas City Missouri and has done a lot of traveling before she landed in Connecticut. Emily has worked in the Vet Med field for 9+ years and enjoys the fast paced and fun work environment. She has a 5 pound miniature pincher named Harley who loves to go on hikes and snuggle on the couch. When she is not at work you can catch her at the Crossfit gym or somewhere outside soaking up the sunshine.

    Joann

    Joann holds the record for our longest standing employee, she has been with GAH since 1998! Joann is a Connecticut local who got into vet med after years of working at horse farms as a trail guide and horse lover. She has two GSD, Gangster and Tazer. They are great working dogs that are involved in conformation showing, sheep herding and dock diving! When Joann is not busy showing her dogs she is working in her vegetable garden or kayaking.

    Ana- Lead Surgery Technician

    Ana has been a Technician with GAH since May 2017. She is a Glastonbury local that has always connected with Animals. Her Vet Med career started at the Simon Foundation, a no kill animal shelter. She has a 12 year old corgi mix named Buddy and a 15 year old but still spunky basenji named Riley. Ana is a die hard steelers fan and enjoys playing sports herself.

    Ashley

    Ashley started at GAH in 2006 as a receptionist and has become crossed trained as a Technician over the years.  Ashley knew she wanted to work with animals after she raised and trained a rottweiler for obedience as a school project. She also has a history of riding horses and working on multiple horse farms. Her furry children consist of 5 dogs ranging from 3-16 years of age. They do a lot of hiking and swimming and are ribbon winners in dock diving. In her free time you will catch her outdoors, hiking, swimming, boating or working in her yard.

    Kymm- Lead Receptionist

    Kymm joined our reception team in April 2023. She began her Vet Med journey in 2020 and hasn’t looked back since! She’s always had a passion for all kinds of animals, furry, slimy, scaley, and feathered! When she’s not at work she spends most of her time in the great outdoors hiking, gardening, camping, or attending local concerts. She has quite a crew of her own consisting of 2 cats, a bluetick mix, and a ball python! She has hopes of eventually having her own homestead for all her animals. 

  • Alex
    Alex- Lead Technician

    Alex has worked in Veterinary Medicine  since August of 2019. She is originally from Florida, but has called Connecticut home for over 20 years. Alex has had a passion for animals, horses in particular, since she was a young child, and she began riding at a young age.  Her interest in horses and animals moved her to follow a career path for animal husbandry, behavior and training. She has focused on veterinary technology, laboratory procedures and especially canine reproduction, where the procedures and science behind it were of keen interest to her.  Alex spends her free time at a local barn where she rides dressage; grooms horses; and assists training young competition horses. She currently has two pets; a cat named Indiana Jones and a black lab mix named Chewy.

    Kaitlin, CVT

    Kaitlin has worked in Veterinary Medicine since June of 2020. In 2021 shegraduated from Middlesex Community College with a degree in VeterinaryTechnology and became certified in December 2021. Originally from Seattle,she has called Connecticut home for the past 20 years and currently residesin South Windsor with her husband, dog Zelda and two cats Alice and Aramis.In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading and playing video games.

    Amanda

    Amanda joined our team in August of 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is currently an undergraduate student at UConn pursuing a degree in Animal Science. Amanda hopes to attend veterinary school in the future. She started at GAH to further her education and gain valuable experience within the field of veterinary medicine. She loves spoiling her two havanese, Oliie and Finn, with daily walks and adventures. When Amanda is not working or studying, she loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.

    Karen

    Karen started at GAH in April of 2023 as a Veterinary Assistant. She is currently completing her undergraduates and plans to attend veterinary school afterwards. She joined the team to gain hands on experience in the field. Karen also works as a professional pet groomer in Glastonbury. She has always had a love for animals and found her passion in helping them. Originally from Stamford, Karen lives with her fiancé in Marlborough and the furry love of her life is her golden retriever, Bear. In her free time she loves to travel, hike, and relax with some video games.

    Rina

    Rina, our Receptionist at our Marlborough location, started working in Vet Med in 2005. She is extremely passionate about the profession and strives to provide exceptional patient and client care. She and her husband have 4 daughters. They also share their home with 2 dogs Cheyenne and Silas, as well as 2 guinea pigs. Rina enjoys hiking, the arts, and traveling with her family.

    Elisa, CVT

    Elisa has been in the field since March 2000. She graduated from Northwestern Connecticut Community College in 2007, and became certified shortly after. She started from the ground up, and hasn't looked back since. She has worked in general practice, and emergency medicine. Elisa loves animals, and has many of her own. She lives in Enfield with her husband and 3 children. In her spare time you can catch her in the garden.

    Shannon joined the GAH family in December 2023 and has been in the Vet Med field since 2018. When she is not at work Shannon enjoys her free time in the garden, crocheting, or carrying for her many animals. She has snakes, rabbits, and fish! 

  • Stacy
    Stacy

    Stacy joined our Reception team in 2024. She is a CT native who has been in the Veterinary field for 9 years. After spending 10 years in the human medical field, she decided it was time for a change- and has never looked back! She takes genuine pride in providing exceptional customer and patient care. She enjoys cooking, organizing, and camping with her family- which includes her husband, son, and 2 dogs Weston and Cora.

    Vanessa is a recent addition to the GAH reception staff, starting July 2024. She is a Long Island native with a BFA in Illustration. She found herself in the Vet Med field since 2022, following her passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. She now strives to further her career in Vet Med while making connections with clients and their fuzzy family members. When she's not at work you can find her drawing, hiking, reading and crafting.

    Michele has been in the Vet field since 2019. She started as an assistant and then graduated from tech school and passed the VTNE in 2022! She lives in East Hampton with her husband and two 4 legged friends, Peaches her bullmastiff and Reba her cat. She has always had a passion for caring for animals. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors and being around my family.

    Dani started at GAH in June 2025. She is currently in school to become a certified veterinary technician. Dani has loved animals from a very young age and has a passion for helping animals and people. Currently she has 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 horses of her own. When she is not at work she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, boating and going to the gym in her free time.
